Durable High Quality Paint

It is of absolutely no use just to use the most Green paint available - what if the paint doesn't do it's job?

• The finish may detoriate rapidly - this would lead to increased costs and carbon emissions in regular maintenance and re-application of the product
• It may not be stable - if people had to wash clean everytime something or someone came into contact think of all the carbon use in creating hot water/wash cycles etc

Water Based Paint

Paint formula's evolved to contain many solvents. These were added to give the paint certain benefits and properties such as strength, durability, longevity and other properties such as quick/slow drying etc.

Solvents though can cause a great environmental impact as they need to be manufactured and produced in the first place - the carbon foot print of some of these refining techniques is definitely not ideal!

For many years leading paint manufacturer's have increased their water based paint products. This lowers the carbon foot print of the products by replacing the mainly oil based solvents with harmless water! With modern technologhy these green paints can now fulfil all the criteria the solvent based paints used to be able to provide with the added bonus of being environmentally friendly paints!
